Moors and Christians Festivities 2025: “General Procession”

The General Procession will take place on May 4th, 2025 in Alcoi. The Relic and the equestrian image of Saint George will be returned to his temple.

Schedule and Route:
It begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends around 9:30 p.m.
The festeros and devotees will gather at the Placeta del Carbó and proceed along Pintor Casanova Street (Main Street), where the Clergy, the Relic, and the Authorities will join the procession. The route continues through Plaça d’Espanya, Sant Nicolau, Plaza de Ramón y Cajal, Sant Francesc, Mossèn Torregrosa, l’Escola, and Sant Tomàs to the temple of Saint George.

Heraldos, Devotos, Festers with candles and children, Llana, Judíos, Domingo Miques, Chano, Verdes, Magenta, Cordón, Ligeros, Marrakesch, Realistes, Berberiscos, Benimerines,
Asturianos, Cides, Labradores, Guzmanes, Vascos, Mozárabes, Almogávares, Navarros, Tomasinas, Muntanyesos, Cruzados,
Capitán Moro and Abencerrajes, Alférez Moro and Marrakesch, Capitán Cristiano and Aragonesos, Alférez Cristiano and Andaluces

End of the Procession:
General Assembly of the Association of Saint George with banner, Sant Jordiet (Primers Trons, Majorals, Honorary Members, and Board of Directors), image of Saint George, Relic of the Saint, Reverend Clergy, and Authorities.
Accompanied by the Unió Musical d’Alcoi and the Societat Musical Nova d’Alcoi.
