«Moors and Christians Festivities 2026: Afternoon Alardo»

Following the Embassy, another arquebus battle takes place, following the same route as in the morning’s Alardo. On this occasion, the Moorish Captain and Ensign leave the Castle around 5:30 p.m., accompanied by the same groups of archers as in the morning session.

The Captain and the Moorish Ensign, along with their filaes, will perform the Encaro at the same spot as in the morning, while the rest of the Moorish side will follow the route previously taken by the Christian side.

The skirmishes in Plaça d’Espanya will feature the retreating Moorish side, while the Christian side advances.

The day will conclude with a symbolic sword fight and the Christian side’s capture of the castle.
